Cauliflower

This happened quite a couple of months back but just didn’t have the chance to sit down, reflect and document that moment down. It was a moment worth cherishing because what she had spoken broke the mundane routine. That day I was drying KX after her bath and as the towel unveil her little face…

KX: Mama, I want to give you a flower.

Me: That’s so sweet… what flowers are you going to give me?

KX: *with all seriousness* Cauliflower

When I burst out laughing, KX was just stunned. So yup! She really meant to give me some cauliflowers.

15As for man, his days are like grass;
         As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.

16When the wind has passed over it, it is no more,
         And its place acknowledges it no longer. Psalm 103:15-16

Life is way too short to just live through routines…mundanes. It is scary how we let time slip us by without even taking a moment to reflect what we had done with the time, sometimes.

Meanwhile, life is too transient to only remember the unhappy and let the worst of life get the better of us. I guess we all need to take time to smell the cauliflowers *oops*  I meant roses. Take time to reflect the day, recollect ourselves and remind ourselves the purpose of our existence. There must be a bigger picture to life. If you are someone who is always searching for that answer to “Is there more to life?”, I would really encourage you to go for an Alpha Course.
